Effective Skin Appearance Improvement

What is a chemical peel?

This treatment is effective in reducing fine lines, acne, scars, hyperpigmentation, and other skin imperfections. Chemical peels can be tailored to your specific needs depending on your skin condition.

  • Light peel

Uses alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) such as glycolic or lactic acid. This type of peel is ideal for all skin types and is most often used to improve skin tone and texture.

  • Medium peel

Uses trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or stronger AHAs that penetrate deeper into the skin. It is used to treat deeper scars or more pronounced signs of aging.

  • Deep peel

Phenol and other strong chemicals that penetrate the deepest into the skin, providing more dramatic results but with greater risks and longer recovery time.

How does a chemical peel work?

The chemical peel is applied to the skin in the form of a chemical substance that remains on the skin for several minutes. During the treatment, you may feel tingling or discomfort. After the peel, the skin may become red and sensitive, and peeling may occur — which is a completely normal part of the recovery process.

Benefits of chemical peels

  • Improved skin texture: The skin becomes smoother, more radiant, and even-toned.
  • Reduction of aging signs: Chemical peels can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation, giving the skin a more youthful appearance.
  • Acne treatment: Helps reduce inflammation and pore blockage, improving the appearance of acne-prone skin.

Possible risks and side effects

  • Redness and swelling: These often occur immediately after the treatment but usually subside within a few days.
  • Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation: Changes in skin color, more common in darker skin types, but usually temporary.

Recovery time depends on the depth of the chemical peel and ranges from 2 to 10 days.
